A few months back we were asked to film a charity Golf Tournament in Norwich which included ground filming and aerial work involving standard and FPV drones at Sprowston Manor Golf Club. Organised by P+S Personnel the tournament was in honour of the late Kenny Gibbs and aimed to raise funds to support the Norfolk and Norwich Hospitals Charity and the very nursing staff and service that had so helped Kenny and his family towards the end of his life.
Gaining permissions for the drone work beneath the busy Norwich Airport airspace we proceeded to film the tournament from several perspectives. This allowed us to view the play from immediately above the greens and players, whizz past tee-offs on driver shots towards the greens, chase down golf buggies as they took the players around the course and show off the wonderful landscape of Sprowston manor. We also filmed the action from the ground so we were able to showcase the companies involved and their golfing prowess.
The film produced provides a great oversight of all that went on at the tournament, and a great record that can be used to advertise future events, the Course and can be looked back upon by those involved.
I’m glad to say that the tournament and following evening of entertainment raised a great total for charity and was enjoyed by all.
