Earlier this year we were invited to create a Drone Fly through film for the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association to best display in a short film the facilities they have at the Norfolk Showground for events, conferences and business use.
Liaising closely with the team we spent a day and a half filming both the various buildings and rooms to be featured in addition to an overview of the whole show ground. We then also visited during the set up of a large event to film the transition of the main event space from an empty hall to a filled event space.
The film was to be used as a long form exploration of the spaces available, to show potential users and clients the spaces available and some information about these in a short period of time. Not only were we producing a valuable marketing asset, but arguably we were saving a huge amount of staff and potential client time navigating visitors around this large show ground site to the various locations on viewing visits.
The film in the long form would hopefully allow a potential client to decide on which particular onsite venue was suitable for their hire needs and also give them a look around the interior to enable them to start making some decisions on dressing and logistics of their hire/event prior to having to visit the venue itself, taking up their own and the RNAA staff’s time.
We also made a shorter form film of the main event space to show how this large interior space could be dressed for a typical event. To do this we combined footage of the event spaces empty with footage produced during the set up for a large event. This shorter film provided an idea of scale of the space interior which isn’t easy to ascertain so accurately even from films. This film clearly showed the size of the space filled with a stage, vehicles and individual display areas.
We’ve included a link to the long form film below, this as above, is the version of the film which presents the spaces available as a smorgasbord of potentials giving a point of view tour and some information about them in a quick and efficient manner.
